CTMH June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Close to My Heart June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the June Stamp of the Month, Wonderful Friend, a set of 9 stamps, that is only available during the month of June.

This stamp set has a really cool Dad stamp, so it would be great to use for Father's Day, but I wanted to use it on a masculine card that you could use for another occasion.  I found a card pattern that worked perfectly.  It was a Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge that you can find on Karen Giron's Blog. I wanted to use the new CTMH My Reflection's Passages paper pack because I fell in love with the striped patterned paper and have been looking for a use for it.  I just had to pair it up with the Antiqued Copper hinges and our new soft set eyelets in Chocolate.

May 2010 Blog Hop Featuring Wishes: City Scape

Welcome to my blog in the May 2010 Spotlight Blog Hop.  If you are getting here from Haley D's Blog you are in the right place.  This month we are spotlighting our card designing book, Wishes.  All of the Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this Blog Hop are using the pattern, City Scape.

I used our new Level 2 paper pack, Passages to make my card.  I also turned the pattern onto its side to show you the versatility of our patterns.  Look at the fake hinge I stamped with the Passages WOTG stamp set!  I put Antiqued Copper Bitty Brads where the screws would go in on a real hinge and it almost looks real!  The key I stamped is also from the WOTG stamp set.  I couldn't decide what color to stamp it.  I started off with Bamboo, then went to Desert Sand.  I just love our clear stamps because I still did not like the color of the key.  It needed to be darker. So I stamped over the previous stamping with Cocoa Ink.  It came out a real cool color with some of the lighter color showing through.  You can't do that with rubber stamps!

Hot Diggity! - A card for Mojo Monday 137

What a gorgeous day it was today and what did I do?  I made this card for Mojo Monday 137.  In case you don't know, Mojo Monday is a sketch that is released each Monday.  You can make a card using the sketch and load it onto their website here.   I have decided to try real hard to participate each week.  This sketch was a bit tough for me.

 You are "allowed" to turn it around, so this what I came up with.

I used the rainbow and the sun from Close to My Heart's new stamp set called Over the Rainbow.  The adorable snail came from the Hot Diggity stamp set.  The clouds are actually patterned paper (B & T) from the Splendor My Reflections Paper Pack, Level 2.  I couldn't resist attaching "Googlie Eyes" to the snail with Liquid Glass.

Love This Video!

This is SO cool!  Check out this video on using Close to My Heart reinkers in a technique called Puddle Pad.  This was shown on Studio 5 KSL.  Check the video out here.

Card for Close to My Heart Card Swap

Hey there!  I wanted to share the card I made for a card swap that I participate in.  The group had decided to make Mother's Day cards.  The stamp set I used was the April Stamp of the Month called Flower Pot.  When I saw it, I saw a shaker box.  I filled the shaker box with Prisma Glitter.  Isn't it cute?

I used Pewter Bitty Brads on the shutters.  I just love the extra touches for my cards. The paper used is Close to My Heart My Reflections Boom di ada Level 2 paper pack.  Here is the inside of my card:
