Zoe Waterfall Album Cover, Take 2

I don't know about you, but it has been a long, hot summer and today finally came.  The kids went back to school!!!

I was alone for the entire day with no one to take care of but the 3 dogs and two cats.  I found my brain again and revamped the cover of the Waterfall Album that I was not happy with yesterday.

Here is the cover from yesterday.

It was a good start, but not right.  I had worked an all day crop the day before and I was just too tired and the blog hop deadline had arrived so I posted it.  As soon as I finished posting, I started removing the embellishments at the bottom.

Have I told you how much I love the new Close to My Heart Zoe paper collection?  And with 700 images to choose from with our new Artistry Cricut Collection, thank goodness the kids are back in school and I will have time to really play.

So, back to the cover of my album, this is what I came up with.

MUCH better!  Now I am ready to tackle the inside.

SWAA Zoe Blog Hop

Welcome to August's Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop.  Our theme this month is Summer or Vacation.  This month I am following  {Catherine Nowak.}  Who is the Stampers with an Attitude?  It is the Close to My Heart team lead by my fabulous upline, Kimberly Moss.

Our blog hop is a circular hop.  You just click on the link to the next blog at the bottom of this post and go visit the next blog.  If you get lost, I have all of the participating blogs listed at the bottom of my post.  Hope you enjoy seeing what our team has made for you.

I held a crop yesterday and one of the attendees asked me if I knew how to make a Waterfall Album.  I came home and looked on Pinterest and got started making it.  It is still a work in progress and I am in the process of adjusting the bottom part of the cover of my album, but here it is so far.  I will post the additional pages as I finish them.

I am loving the Zoe paper collection and have used the entire collection in my album.  I have also used the Artistry Cricut Collection.  The chevron background and the sentiment and frame are all cut out with our new Artistry cartridge.

I want to thank you for visiting my blog.  The next very talented artist for you to visit on our blog hop is {Melissa Robinson}.

Welcome to the Artistry Blog Hop

Welcome to the Close to My Heart
    Artistry Blog Hop

I am following {Melissa Robinson's Blog.}   We have 30 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our Close to My Heart Artistry Blog Hop.   If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.    Thank you for hopping through our Blog Hop.

Did you hear that we have an awesome new Cricut Collection called Artistry?  I am loving playing with this cartridge and I am sure that you will as well.  It comes with 3 D size Stamp Sets and a full package of assorted cardstock containing our new colors.  So, you are up and running right when you open the package!

Are you the proud owner of an Explore or an Explore Air?  If you are, you have a second option.  You can either purchase the regular Artistry Collection for $99 or you can purchase the Digital Collection for $79.  With the Digital Collection, you do not get the cartridge or the handbook.  Your Artistry code will be mailed to you along with your stamp sets and cardstock.

All of our cartridges contain 700 images.  No other cartridge on the market has that many images.  This is a great bargain and will become one of your go to cartridges.  The Artistry cartridge has a ton of images that any papercrafter will enjoy.

So what am I showing you today?  Using Cricut Design Space, I turned one of the Artistry images into a card.  I was having so much fun that I made two of these cards, both using our new Zoe Paper Collection.  Here are my cards.

Do you like these cards as much as I do?  They make me happy!  I couldn't help myself and added some Sparkles for the keys.  I am all about that Bling!  The blue and green typewriter card uses our blue glitter paper as well.  The hearts came from the Chalk it Up Assortment.

The typewriter is not a card on Artistry.  It is just an image.  I used Cricut Design Space to turn it into a card.  Here is how I did that.

I chose the typewriter image and then ungrouped the layers.  Then I copied and pasted the bottom layer so that I now had two bottom layers. After choosing the duplicated layer, I went into the Edit tab and clicked the mirror button.  That flipped the duplicated typewriter bottom layer.  Then I placed the two images close to each other but not touching.  This is how it looks.
I went back to Artistry and chose a rectangular image.  I added it to the middle - I wanted to connect the two pieces so I would now have a card.
I placed the rectangle where I wanted it and then I selected the entire set of images and clicked the weld button.  This is what I got.

Then all I had to do was score the middle and fold my card.  I was so excited that this came out like I pictured it in my head.

I even decorated the inside of the cards.

I used one of the sentiments in the coordinating D size stamp sets.  That adorable set of glasses on the inside is another one of the images on the Artistry.  Now how cool is that?

August SOTM Blog Hop - Framed

Welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Michelle Stewart's Blog.}   We have 47 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.   If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

The August Stamp of the Month is entitled Framed (S1508) (Set of 12).   Here is a picture of this stamp set:

I found this beautiful card pattern on Pinterest and coupled with our new Close to My Heart Cricut Artistry Collection decided to make a card that I am going to send to a dear friend who has cancer.

I love the labels and the sentiments in the August Stamp of the Month and the Artistry allows me to cut the butterflies and the label so all I have to do is stamp and adhere.

Here is the card I made with the August Stamp of the Month.  The Cricut Collections now have a full pack of assorted cardstock instead of the chipboard Dimensional Elements.  The Artistry Collection has the Enchanted Assorted Cardstock which includes some of our new colors.  My butterflies are made with the new Eggplant cardstock found in the Enchanted Assorted Cardstock.  The patterned paper is from our new Zoe paper collection.  The film strip was also cut with the Artistry cartridge.  I cut our Black Glitter paper for the film strip because I really needed some glitter on my card.

The Framed Stamp of the Month Stamp Set can be purchased for $17.95 or if you purchase $50 in CTMH products, you can add this stamp set to your order for an additional $5.  This stamp set is only available between August 1 – August 31, 2015.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Brenda Lapp's Blog} and see what she has made with this adorable stamp set.
